Kate has had a varied career in the entertainment industry since performing in her first professional pantomime at the age of six in her home-town of Weston-Super–Mare.
At sixteen she went on to complete her training at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom, graduating in 1992 with a diploma in dance and musical theatre and various teaching qualifications to her credit.
Kate has worked professionally as a vocalist, dancer and choreographer since then, starting with her own dance troupe in the late 90’s “Limited Resources” who worked in theatres and venues in the South West supporting local celebrities such as Ben Murphy and international TV comic Andy Ford. Kate has been a choreographer and assistant choreographer for John Spillers Pantomime Company for over 10 years, choreographing for and performing the roles of “Cinderella”, “Aladdin”, and “Beauty” in Beauty and The Beast, “Good Fairy” in Snow White and Beauty and The Beast working with many stars of stage and screen
She has also played “Glinda the Good” and “The Wicked Witch” in The Wizard of Oz (although not at the same time!), alongside top comedians Joe Pasquale and Bobby Davro, and directed the show for two sell-out theatre tours starring Tracy Beaker star, Dani Harmer. This year Kate directed and performed in “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” along side Ian “H” Watkins from Steps.
As a vocalist Kate has appeared as a backing singer for P.P. Arnold in the fringe musical “The Convention” at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London, as a featured soloist and backing singer with the reformed 80’s band “Modern Romance” and in recent years has devised, choreographed and produced her own touring cabaret shows, which have met with acclaim both in the UK and in Europe.
As well as making time for several theatre shows each year, Kate also tours extensively as a professional vocalist covering a huge range of music from West End Showstoppers to chart hits in her own solo cabaret show.
